Default Rifleman5000's first saber (work in progress)

This is my first saber. Here are the finished pics.
I added the 7.2 volt lipo and can hardly get my phone to focus because it is so bright.

ether way, it will look good.
What I like to do, when I'm not to lazy, is make the design on the computer and print it out. Then wrap that around the shroud and see how it looks.

    Good call, Yin.

Saber looks great, Rifleman. Personally, I'd prefer the powdercoating on this particular saber, but the etching could be fantastic too.

Definitely saltwater etching IMHO. I like the look of your design, very sleek and classy.

I really like your design too

It is up to you eventually to prefer one or the other option, it will look great either way!
(I'd choose powder coating too if it where me, I always feel like salt water etching has an "ancient rune" looking type, which I wouldn't put on that particular design, but again, all a matter of taste)

Do as The Yin said anyway, pretty good idea indeed

    Here are some updated pics.
I think I will add the screws in the bottom and maybe a crystal chamber and be done. (still need to order the electronics though)
I think the saltwater etching came out pretty well, it had a couple of areas on the symbol that could have been a little more difined but I kinda like it.
thanks, for all the positive comments and suggestions.
I will add on when I finish.

Looks like this is coming along nicely! The saltwater etching definitely gives it more of a flair. Looking forward to seeing it when it's completed.
