    Default Vengeance

Hey everyone! Despite my new job (I've been working anywhere from 10 to 18 hour days) I love it! I managed to get a saber done for one of my Jr. High kids. It was supposed to be for his Birthday, but his Mom agreed to let him have it early for Halloween... Lol I was under the impression that I had longer to make the saber so when I got the time constraint I pretty much knocked this saber out in a weekend!

With that longwinded introduction out of the way here's the particulars of the hilt.

    **All PVC construction
    **Red-Orange 3W Rebelstar LED with two AA's
**I did a smaller hilt for this build due to this Particular Jedi's size. I thought it turned out well.

I named this hilt the Vengeance due to it's menacing appearance. This hilt is intended for a Jedi, but he's not a traditional Jedi. Smaller hilt allows for easy concealment, and quick employment. As far as the balance I feel this saber has a natural flow to it, and that natural flow allows for some really kinetic flourishing. Reminds me of a saber Windu would be comfortable using.

    Alright here she is.

Let me know what you think and thanks for looking!!!

Good clean lines, nice work on the angles. The paint job is very well done. The only thing that looks out of place is the pommel, but everything else looks great! Good job!

Thanks for the critique! What is out of place about the pommel?

I've also got an critique re: the pommel, otherwise a very nice saber. The pommel seems unfinished, relative to the rest of the saber's feel. As if there was a sleeve or a component that was attached to the hex section and covered the threaded area that fell off.

I think it's the exposed threads that are bothering me.

Yeah I'm working on the thread issue... I'm going to try cutting the piece down before screwing it in... For some reason the caps are made to thread in there... but they don't thread all the way. The kid that this was made for liked the threads so I was happy with this one. I may just sand down the threads... I kind of like the look... I'll have to test it extensively. One of the things I pride on my PVC sabers is that they are durable. They have to survive me after all.

If the customer likes it, then no changes are necessary.

Well he liked it... but others may not... I'd rather it look more finished... Seriously though thanks for the feedback!
