    Default Making an offical greeting.

    Greetings,
I found this forum after doing some research for a project. My nephew gave me some Ultra sabers when he was shipping out to basic. He and his friends had done a real number on them, broken and in horrible repair.
    Heres an example:

I took it as a chance to learn more about soldering, electronic circuit building and repair.
So far I’ve been amazed at the projects here, and after lurking the board for a few months, I feel ready to start really building and posting. Project wise, I’m probably going to overwhelm myself, with repairs, mods and all the new builds I want to pull off. Just getting into the chat and picking your brains has been a big help. But I’m looking forward to getting projects up here and see if I can get more ideas and knock them out.

Broken battery pack? That's a lot of abuse right there.

Looks like it could easily be salvaged. Ditch the electrical tape for a proper soldering job and some heat shrink.

I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with this hobby.

    Default So I finished it...

So it took me awhile, but I finally got comfortable with soldering, enough to take a crack at this and make a finished project.

    Final Coat with Rubber rings:

I wanted to make this for my 5yr old niece. Blue is her favorite color and Lego Star Wars is her favorite Xbox game. So now it is wrapped up and going under the tree.
Thanks for the inspiration and support guys!
