Thread: Max discharge current (amps) of li ion batts

Default Max discharge current (amps) of li ion batts

I was wondering how much max discharge the Li ion packs from the shop can handle?
Specifically 18650 packs that are rated 2600 mAh...

I want to power two dice in // @ 1A each like = 2A + 1A for FoC = 3A + some 500 mA extra for the board speaker and so on... Can they handle that?

Moreover how much can the Panasonic NCR18650A 3100 mAh handle?

    Thanks in advance,

    Marco

3.5 Amps would probably be pushing it. Usually the max discharge of 2 18650's in series (just like the packs in the store) is about 2.6 Amps. You'd probably be better off wiring your dice in series.

Hows that I found out that one can handle up to 6.2 because its rated 2C is it different with 2 in series?
It should stay the same right?
