Thread: Wiring - "build you're own lightsaber" board

Question Wiring - "build you're own lightsaber" board

Has anyone attempted to use the board from one of the clone wars "Build You're Own" lightsaber kit? Or the one you can build at Disney world / land?

I'm curious because they have 3 different sound fonts loaded onto them. The font changes based on which crystal you plug into the toy. But I bet it could be wired to a toggle switch.

I've thought about it, but the sabers I have were gifts from my sister-in-law and I'm not sure how terribly thrilled she'd be if I cut them apart.

I need the same thing you do. I think this might help. How could i wire it into a toggle switch?

Also does it matter if i get a better speaker and just solder the old wires to it?
The layout of the chip on the disney sabers is he same as the first link. Just wire the Q1,Q2, and Q3 together send that to the LED or buck puck. For the different sounds, Get a three way latching switch and have the Red, white, and brown wired on the left hand prongs and on the right prongs put 3 yellow wires and join them with the old yellow wire.
I' ll start a different forum and post a link later
also, if u don't like the switch they gave you, put an off/on switch between the battery and the soundboard on the positive. I have a wiring diagram i made if you need it.
