    Default Speaker question

    Hello all,

    i have been searching on this forum awhile and finally commited to joining the forum.

    my question to the experts would it be possible to use a pc motherboard speaker for sound to save space or does the humming and clashing etc., need that suface area of a bigger speaker. I have heard plenty of sound come thru these things ( I'm in IT) and just thought it would be a thing to try. I cant find anything on voltage or current needs googling but thats not to say im not asking the correct question. any input would be appreciated. Thanks

    This has recently been discussed. Since most recent computers use piezoelectric speakers, this thread should answer your questions;

    If you want the short version, they are smaller and more efficient, but lack the range and low-end power necessary to provide good saber sound.
