Am I dreaming, or does the new V2.0 sound board deserve a picture in the 'New products' column on the forum? I would have missed it but for a comment posted on the 'Light Saber Sound Module Schematics' post. It looks so much like a Crystal Focus now. I might be missing something, but this is just amazing!! (To me)

hey guys, I have a simple question about the PCv2 board.
Is it mandatory to use an Aux. switch? If I use a momentary can i leave the aux switch out?

The PC v1.5, 1.6, 2.0 will all "run" with a single switch for blade ignition.

However, you will lose the aux functions which include: blaster block, lockup, and anti-poweroff protection (A-POP). If you have A-POP enabled in the configuration, you will not be able to turn the saber off without pulling the battery or using a kill key.

Your main switch can be either latching or momentary. The aux switch must be momentary.

na as silver serpent stated if you do not want to use the aux features (lock up and blaster block) then you do not need it.

Here is what you will miss out on if you do not use an aux button on the PC 2.0

1. blaster block
2. lock up
3. mute on the go
4. APOP
5. board reset from aux switch
I think that covers it.

If you are OK without those then just use one switch. Totally up to you. Its different than a CF because you need an aux button on the CF to change sound banks which is a big feature of the CF.

like i stated, this will be my first build,
so be gentle.
i was also wondering how or if i can put two or more fonts on
the SD card and would i use the Aux. to "reset" to another font?
I've been reading several boards covering multiple subjects..... (ignorance dispelled by knowledge)
watch TONS of vids, mostly by Madcow, and they use the aux to do this.

The Petite Crouton is only capable of holding one sound font. The sabers that hold multiples use the Crystal Focus or Igniter soundboard.
