The Custom Saber Shop Tutorial - Ordering Powder Coating Using the MHS Builder

Download PDF Version

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin". The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint.

Step 1

To begin the ordering process, click on the ‘MHS Builder’ link from the TheCustomSaberShop.com homepage:

Step 2

Pick the part that you wish to have powder coated using the navigation bar at the bottom of the page:

Step 3

Choose the powder coat style and color using the “POWDER COATING” box in the upper left corner. Note: Some items have multiple options for which portions of the part will get coated.
