If I'm not mistaken, the max draw from an alkaline is 900mAh. If you're using four of them and drawing 2A, you should be ok but I'm not an expert. I'd still have a preference for Li-Ions over alkalines. You could use the 2AA holder and two protected 14500's. Not ideal but I'd pick that over alkalines.

alright so im not guna use a rechargable setup. will 4 AA alkalines work then? if im using the recharge porn for the kill key?
