    Default Deception by Orthus

Here's a saber that I started almost three years ago. It sat on my workbench mocking me while I started and finished multiple other sabers. Finally, I returned to this one during the holiday break. It was designed to be the saber of a fallen pupil of both Yoda and Obi Wan, using elements of both their sabers. It is:
    Sink Tube (extension tube)
    Lathe-turned blade holder
    Lux K2 Red
    2011 Hasbro Ultimate FX board
Upgraded swing and clash sensors from TCSS
    3 AA power supply
    Hand-built clamp, etc.
Pommel from a Build Your Own Lightsaber MR kit
    Leather cord wrapped upper grip
Hobby foam w/fiberglass carpet tape lower grip

Congrats on finishing it. It's good to have projects completed.

I have to wonder though, how durable is that bit on the front? I'd be concerned about it getting bent if you do any dueling. For a display piece, it looks nice though.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

It's meant to be a wall hanger. The Yoda-like bit at the top would indeed get bent if in a duel, you let the opponent's blade slide down yours during a block.
