Default Help with ID of fried component on Lathe board

I brought my Lathe DC motor control board into work to try and figure out what was wrong with it. THey found the faulty component, and pulled the part off the board, but i am having problems finding a replacement....I figured what the hell.....someone on here may recognise the writing on it and be able to point me to a site that may cary it. THe shop said that it was a "micro controler" or something liek that....its physical dimentions are roughly(lol...roughly....lol....just remembered i have a electronic digital caliper...duh....)okay...exactly....lol....

    .25"/6.29mm long

    .1695"/4.31mm wide

    .1515"/3.83mm tall

the type on the top reads: v531t the second line holds a lowercase looking block "f" symbol followed by 817c

    so it reads:
    v531t
    F 817c

    It has four pins BTW.....

Thanx if anyone can help me tracking it down, though i doubt anyone will know....

    Ambo

    Hi,

if you've got one of the harbor freight lathes, surf through http://www.mini-lathe.com/
or maybe shoot a message to the guys here: http://www.littlemachineshop.com/

both have been invaluable resources for my basement machine shop

Sorry I have no direct answer to your question.
