Thread: Sound problem on 2011 Ultimate FX sound card

    Default Ultimate FX help

Started my first custom sound build on an US Aeon V3, 2010 Ultimate FX Anakin soundboard, AV switch, 4AAA speaker combo, single red US LED. I have wired everything up following previous posts, jumped the 5 LED nodes to a single, soldered the FOC sensor to the board as shown. Without the LED connected, to sound is crisp and clean, swing and FOC sensors work great. As soon as I connect the LED, I power on, the LED flickers once and everything dies, did I do something wrong or am I missing something?

It sounds like the board can't source enough current to drive both the audio amp and the LED. Try wiring the LED through a transistor or a MOSFET instead of direct-driving it with the board. Also make sure you have the correct resistor on your LED.

Tried with the original resistorfrom the stunt saber, does the same. Used 1000mah buck puck and it won't power the LED at all but it won't shut everything down. Trying to figure it out.

What kind of LED are you trying to run?

"Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before... you want blindingly bright, super loud, running 1138 blinkies off of the cheapest sound card you can find AND you want all of it to run on a battery the size of a dime, and run for a very, VERY long time. That one cracks me up every time..."

    Single red lux

** After some "light" reading, should I be using a 700mah buck puck instead of the 1000mah because I am using a red LED (due to the red amperage)?

*** Side note, did some aging to my hilt while taking a knee and rethinking, will post pictures when complete.

    Cool

Problem Solved, 700ma Buckpuck and some more troubleshooting required. With the red LED powered by all LED landings it would not work properly, running off of just one now and all is "purring" beautifully.20190216_234224.jpg thank you.
