Default (Jenny) My latest PVC saber

This is my latest PVC saber. I call her Jenny. I like the name because the copper reminds me of a red head I knew with that name. I think I am going to name all my sabers with girl names. It’s much easier and I like it. I used two retention screws for the blade because it kind of has a deep socket to fit in. I di my normal battery holder made from a flashlight.

    Her go my specs:

    *Cyan 120lm @ 700mA 3.4v
Luxeon Collimator Lens 8.7 deg viewing angle
    Luxeon Rebel Lens Holder
    Luxeon star heatsink
Heat Sink shim for Rebel stars
Shouldered 3/4" thin walled blade tip with reflective disc
3/4" Thin walled Trans White PolyC 30" long
    1-3/16" ID Black O-ring
    Powered by 3 AAA

    Thanks for taking a look!

It's all good. wish I asked the guys I stole my ideas from. lol
My sabers use the 3/4" blades. I like them better. Not like you asked but....
they just feels more like a saber to me. Nice, thin and kind of small. I go with 30" blades.
    Thanks a lot bro!!

Good color and texture man. Cyan was a perfect choice.

Seriously though dude, get a better camera! or a tripod... or learn the settings... Something! I want to see this saber in not fuzzy blurry glory.

Any $150 Nikkon is great for macro. not under $100, as I haven't found a camera that takes good pictures that cheap.

Iphone 4 has a great camera too... just sayin.

I'm not sure I'll ever waste the money on a Nikkon. I buy Sony.
Are they good? yes. Are they great? arguable. Are they usable? absolutely. Are they affordable? less than half the price of the competition. Are they innovative? tell me which came out first, Sony NEX, or Nikkon 1.
Sony's alpha line uses the minolta maxxum mount, so I can pick up a new lens with decent glass for $100-300. Try that with Nikkon or Cannon.
I honestly can't say much about the point-and-shoot market, but it appears to follow the same model. 70% or the performance for 40% of the price tag.

Enough of the derail though, nice job Ripper. You keep crankin'em out.
