    Default my first ever LED saber, and im building it.

    I want to run a Lux rebel star green on 4 AAAs what resistor do I need and I kno there's a resistor chart thing on the website but it only says Lux lll's and v's not rebels, so could anyone help me out here?

    From the Lux Rebel Product info in the store: Green 166lm @ 700mA 3.4v
    4 AAA's is 1.5x4 = 6v

    Taking that information and using the search function to find This Sticky
    R= (6v-3.4v)/.7A
    R = 3.714 ohms
    Doing the math.

    So you need a resistor that at least matches that to not fry your LED.

    The calculator gives the same results.

    But why use a resistor? Buck Pucks are more efficient. I would use the 4wire 700ma buckpuck if I were you. It's a bit more expensive but it is much more efficient.
