Default Will it fit in a MHS section....

Hi all. Trying to determine if a:

    6AA Battery Holder

    will fit into a:

Main Body #3 (standard 7in legth), with a Standard Switch installed, and a MHS Gear section that connects the body to the pom.

Any insights are most welcome, ty.

your looking at just over 6in of space taken by the battery holder it will fit in the maim body. idk about the switch and i dont know about the gear section but if the bat holder can fit in the gear then all is good i think. why are you useing the 6AA holder? what are you puting in the saber? is it going to be a stunt saber? will it have sound?

again it should work but i just would likt a little more detail =)

    Exactly as noted..

No sound. Only LED, Switch, ( === ) 2x3 6AA Battery Holder from TCSS.

Unless my eye lies to me, the Gear Section looks to be the same ID as any other section of main body type, so if the batt holder fits the gear, that gives me around 7in of free space behind the switch. Sounds about right, but was hoping someone with a Gear Section could confirm.

Confirmed by Tim a few mins ago.. the MHS Gear section WILL allow a loaded AA battery pack (6AA in this case) to pass through as the ID is the same as main body sections and other MHS parts.

I'm wondering why you are running 9V to a direct driven LED.

I'm not... the question of a Constant Current LED Driver was not an issue as it was going to sit on the LED side of the switch and thus would not have any effect on the space allowance from the switch to the pom end. That's why I did not bother to note it when it came to a question of hilt space.

Good to know I was wondering about this build. Good luck with it =)

TY TJL. I did the mock up today. A 6AA Holder fits in the Gear Section with ease.
