Thread: Question about white blades... and the right lens...

Default Question about white blades... and the right lens...

    y0 all,

I have two small questions about:

1: Why use a trans white blade, instead of a Corbin style blade?
(have to choose my blade and see the white blade pop out more now, so wondered what it does better/different)

2: Also deciding about the lens: I want a 34" blade, is the 5 deg. a must, or is 8.7 nicer?
    Opinions plx!

    Thnx

The white is much nicer IMO because it catches more light than the clear blades. I only use white blades now... (except for the leftover clear ones i have..)

10 degree look the best for P4s. 8.7 is what you use for the rebels.

It's a matter of personal taste. I like the clear blades with 6' of polypropylene gift wrap.

My blades are also 34" (showing), and I used a 5 deg lens.

The combination of the two light it up nicely.

Look at my avatar and, see, you will. Herh herh herh.

That would be the best way to find out what your own preference is.

Yep. If you're "taking the plunge" as I did to build your first saber, in comparison to everything else you need to buy, an extra blade and one of each lens type is not that big of a deal. I even got a second heat sink and rebel LED to see if I like blue or green better in my design.
