Here's the helmet after it's final clear coat.
I pretty much had only the hermes type wings, warning labels and stipes designed. The yellow V's and stripes coming back I made up on the fly. They're actually a deep blue which is nice in person.

Thanks! I'm moving to thinking about the insides. I'm tossing some ideas around on the RL boards.
So far I want some way to hear in the earcups that eventually go in and I'm going to install a CPU fan.
I'm not sure on the earcups thing. Maybe I can find a kit for that. I really need an external mic solution to keep fabric noise out.

Xwing you need to go to Skycraft in Orlando they have miltary surplus headsets with boom microphones which would be perfect for your use. The microphones are a noise canceling type that would work well for you. I used these setups to biuld radio set ups for racing radios, for in car and a pit radio set up. The car harness was cool because you modified the helmet to install the wiring and mircophone, for receive speakers I used a molded ear plug set that fit nicely inside each ear.
I think that's the same place you told me about before. I just need to find a convenient time to stop there. I think I can take it slow back home for winter break.
