Thread: DPTT switch wiring schematic check

Default DPTT switch wiring schematic check

My goal is to have a switch that will have 3 different operations, ON using battery, OFF with the ability to charge, and ON with AC adapter.

I will be using a (4) AAA batteries with a 700ma buck puck to power a green luxeon rebel on a 10mm coolbase PCB along with (2) 3mm auxillary LEDs powered from the battery itself.

To do this I found a dual-pole, triple throw switch and created the wiring diagram attached.

My main question is: should I power the LEDs straight from the battery itself? or with the Buckpuck?

Ow my head. That switch hurts to look at.

But as for your question: I would run the accent LEDs from the battery itself, provided they don't get too much current when you have it set to run with the AC adapter.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
