    Maybe sometime you could try your v3 led strip on a mrfx board, but start taking resistors off the board. I'll bet the brightness could be comparable to a v3 Makototsai saber.

    Looks like he already did that. But you don't remove resistors from the board, you bridge the resistor pads (or bridge over the resistors themselves, as I've read some have done) on the blade itself.

    I've seen something like that before but didn't think he had bridged the resistors.

    Makototsai or anyone with experience: in daylight is SSS bright enough to still look like a movie saver or do you need a v4?

    Makototsai: what is the mcd rating on your red LED's? 3mm and 5mm
