    Think I could make a cutout in the middle of a piece of http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/10...tor--P401.aspx using a dremel?

    Absolutely. Be sure to use safety glasses and go slowly. So long as your cutout isn't too large, it won't affect the strength of the piece.

    And be mindful of the aluminum dust. I think that's what killed my last dremel.

    Cheers, I need something to fill my time and I decided that I wanted as much of this to be my work as possible so thats cool I can do my own cutout, thanks.

    It just takes time. Like SS said, just go slow and make sure you have plenty of extra cutoff wheels.
