    Default Borax has new diggs

The wife and I moved not to long ago and i finally got every thing set up down there as well as my carpenter buddy came over and we made a couple work tables and a new table top for my lathe, which is awesome since before it was very unstable.

    My new shop

I love my new Drill Press !

My Dremel set up and a few of my bits, and files

lathe and all my tooling and tools

This is my First lathe. Its a SHOP FOX m1018 lathe/mill combo.
I got a great deal on it and its an nice starter one,
but its terrible for precision. but its great for saber building.
I have been learning and making all sorts of parts.
I am hoping to have a new smithy lathe combo by next year.

I have been working non-stop on my contest saber since I have been of for 2 weeks which is awesome except I am hindered by by cast from my surgery

I tried getting a rubber glove over it to keep out metal bits

well that's the updates catch ya later guys

well I had a tendon in my wrist opened up, called dequervain's tenosynovitis, basically the widened the top of the sheath to the tendon because of a lot of pressure causing serious pain. fun part is i have to get the right hand done this summer.

Jin - yeah my shop used to be in my "dinning" room as well, even my lathe. it was very funny looking.
