that's funny... i got some in akihabara in radio town. if i remember right, go out the electronics town gate take a right, then take a left when you get outside, cross the street, and on the right side there's a thin electronics hardware vendor place with them.

with as many of us that use them? yes. but also make a note on how to wire them properly... you know lots of people will destroy them even then.

to Skottsaber: Im sure there are some in the shop. But problem is that only shipping costs over 700 CZK and it is useless to buy one transistor and one momentary switch - it costs together maybe 10 - 15$ and thats 300 CZK. I wont order two things in price 300 CZK and pay 700 CZK shipping fee.

Oh, Akihabara is great! Nipponbashi is poor.
I checked digikey, it takes shipping cost about $25 to Japan

And I feel you on those shipping costs, getting stuff from the US to South Africa can be painful

I using MJE2955T transistor (Vceo=60V, Ic=10A, hFE=100, Pc=75W) instead of TIP42.
