Good point, Invisas. This has me wondering though; Does the # of batteries change the voltage? What I mean is, can I make a pack with any # of batteries and keep the same voltage? I figure that increasing the # of batteries just increases the charge duration. Any thoughts. Obviously I know little of electronics. I figure making this saber will teach me much
    Thanks.

Batteries run in series will increase voltage, but not runtime. Batteries run in parallel will increase runtime, but not voltage.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.
