Seoul P4 question.

I have been collecting and learning parts etc for several years. I have an ultrasound 2.5 sb and a seoul p4 blue led kit from the custom saber shop. I purchased the battery/speaker pack that only holds 4 AAA batteries. My question is will this be sufficient or do I need the 8 battery pack? Thank you and please don't roast me for my ignorance.

It will work, but it might be best to use NiMH rechargeable batteries with it instead of alkalines. That board was notorious for overheating when the battery voltage is 2-3 volts above the led's forward voltage.
