Default Curved hilt of Darth Infirnis

So I started this up last Saturday. I've got a Sith going...

and really got going on the hilt. Currently I'm up to this point:

Emitter mostly complete (LED needs to change to red) and operational bar graph. The activation box, when it's finally mounted, will act as a rest for my thumb to keep it down the centerlline.

    Basic location of activation switch.

Rechrage port located in the faucet knob pommel.

Battery holder made from a piece of trans white blade.I'll file in channels for the wires to go through.

I've got to ask: Where did you get those boots?

I got a pair of costume boots for my Jedi gear, but they have very little grip, and after about 36 hours of wear, the soles are coming off.

They're about 10 years old, purchased from Hot Topic on clearance, and made by Anarchic. Maybe with much poking around you can find a pair.

Cool, thank you. I'll probably invest more money in my next pair, since I'll be Coning more.

    So far...
    IMG_20130412_215920_631.jpg
Set and cap screws in and blade LED changed over (and probably burned out). The thin walled blade and 1.25 oz of lead in the pommel seem to balance it out nicely right under the ball of my thumb.

Wiring diagram, fairly simple but I had to get it straight in me head,
    Puck PLI Port wiring.jpg

The PLI comes on when the kill key's pulled and blade with the slide switch. Now it's on to wiring the JT's in then the finishing work.

    Looks right to me.
We all have to start somewhere. The journey is all the more impressive by our humble beginnings.

Well, if you are going to use a slider switch like in your picture it won't work with this wiring.
You will need to wire the middle pin and one of the outer ones

Seems to work fine for the switch, the recharge port maybe not...

For giggles here's an exploded diagram:
