    Default Have 3 red LEDs to choose from, help me choose one for my new build

    I'm converting a vader force fx right now and have 3 diff red LEDs on hand to choose from.A red p4, red/orange lux III and a red lux rebel star I want the best brightest movie look, it will be running off of the 6 AA pack, what do you guys think

    use the P4. the others are either not quite as bright, or orange.

    Use the R/O led! It is super bright and the best color for a Darth vader saber IMO.

    red/orange all the way. They are super bright.

    Agreed, go with the red/orange Lux III. A bin 1 P4 is the about the same shade as a red/orange, but not as bright. If you're going to order from the store here, I'd suggest getting a P4. As for the rebel, it's not horribly dim, but it's not as good as the P4 or R/O Lux III.

    Agreed with above - Red/Orange is a bit brighter to the human eye than just red alone (mostly cause the orange is a "lighter" color)

    The only disclaimer I have with those types of colors are that they tend to be a bit more.... finicky about voltage and current. But then again, all the info you need is available in the store..

    You should go with the red P4. (if it runs 3AA or 3AAA you'll be fine.). If you upgrade that to 4AA/4AAA, youll need a 1000mA buckpuck to put between it and the soundboard.

    The lux 3 at 1400ma I say.

    Ok so off of the 6 AA pack that my vader ANH has is it gonna push the lux 3 to full potential
