    Thanks for the compliments guys

...the last pic is of the two side by side, the one in the stand in that pic is the prototype. Just have to install the PC in it and its done

It has the look of a scorpion tail to it, to my thinking. Articulated, overlapping plates along a curve.

Over course, the armor plating also brings to mind Klingon influences as well. Extremely attractive saber.
    I salute you, sir.

AK-47s and Lightsabers, both so fun to build

This is an amazing saber. I love the armor. And the gun style grip is something i have been wanting to do for ages. Very well executed.

That's awesome...the sculpting really makes this saber. Imagining it with flat overlay/plates just wouldn't compare. So if you the second one is going to have a PC in it does that make it the secondary of a set? That puts some limits on the animated SMD LEDs from what I can tell. Not that it matters much since the most appealing feature in this design is the overlay/sculpting.

The PC version will have a limited 4 SMD bargraph, two tied together and no low power indicator as the PC doesn't have that feature. I'd put a CF in it but I am not planning on keeping that hilt. The hilt in the video will be kept in my collection

You could do one as a power indicator(power to the board), 2 sequenced, and one matching the blade.

Thats a good idea also. I was thinking of having the two outside in // and the two inside // for a basic animation, I'll play with it once I get the board in. Thanks for the idea
