It does indeed look very nice. It looks very different lit up and brings to light so to speak the possible need for more contrast. The background circuits do kinda blend in with the brass holders but it is growing on me. I like how I have no idea where you may have found those parts. Whatever you decide to do I'm sure it will look awesome just don't put in a brass or gold hilt...lol...On that note a dark weathered hilt would make the chamber look really nice.

Ehh ok heres the deal.. and I'm sure its brilliant irl, but to me it seems too busy while off and super super awesome while lit.. guess you cant have them all.. but I think your at the point where if you dont stop... your overdoing it. Anyway how it is now seems to cover up the "chrome" backround so I think your job is done!! (and Well done indeed)

drybrushing with black paint. i would use a flat or ultra-flat black and a wide hobby brush. use light and fast strokes and clearcoat it once you're done.

some color crystals would add some contrast.
it only really needs it when its not lit though.
its beautiful in itself. I would love to have one of these in one of my sabers.
    great work

What i do for carbon scoring is holding said part above some burning plastic, or
a candle with a wick that's too long, so it gets smokey.

You can then either use a dry whipe to keep it in the grooves, or clearcoat it a bit.
