hot glue? that sounds easy enough to me, but if you want it movable (to get to a CF microSD card for instance) you'll likely want to use a single short threaded rod and make it so that it rotates.

Just got my discs today - I don't think anyone else posted this yet - it looks like the holes are ready to be tapped for 6-32 screws.

i think that the disc's that lock between parts need to have holes drilled like a heat sink. like maul said, replace the heat sink with these. it would become a part of the chassis.

I believe they have drilled and non-drilled options in the store for both the locking and non-locking discs.

maul mentioned a set up where the locking one was drilled the same pattern as the heatsink. basically a heatsink with no nub.

I've never done a chassis mounted off a heatsink for the LED, but it could be done. I have done two chassis setups where I cut the nub off the heatsink and then drill new holes in it for standoffs. These new disks will be a godsend for that.

i think it would be a good idea to build a chassis off that, it will be locked in place most definitely. im working on something similar right now on my chassis.

Anyone know what the gauge of the drilled holes are?

    '0.116' ?
    29/250 ??

    Someone mentioned 6-32 screws...
    Has anyone confirmed?

(looking at style 2, 1.24" od)

Curious indeed! I want to order a few to play around with!
The 1.24 OD should fit into a 1.25" sink tube right? Seems like it would be a tight fit?
