What are your plans?
I've recently joined too and am putting together ideas for my first three sabers which go from silent straight MHS to noisy chambered LEDengined. Are you looking foward with something in mind, or just looking foward.
Anyhow welcom Va Tosh

i really need "meow on clash" mya! =^_^=
duel - to fight someone 1 on 1
dual - 2 of something in line with each other
Thanks for the warm welcome, and yeah I got the main saber itself built from mhs parts, it looks like
I used a p4 white led with a blue lee filter. Its not totally complete yet as I am working on making a shroud and need to cut out a window where the power button is and then another window on the other side, so I can make a crystal chamber.
when its done I am hoping to have it look like this.

the P4 is a GREAT led, but it doesnt get to the "Blue" I think your after.. 1 disc.. to much white... 2 disc.. to dim.. Anyway guys Welcome and my advice(although I sell all my sabers) go for something VERY VERY simple so you can do some skill building before you decide to tackle flow soldering or any advanced techniques you may hear or read about here... take it from a guy who has learned first hand... the tutorials put out by the Sabersmiths make it look easy... really really easy... in reality its not even near that easy and IF you screw up you can fry your board or ruin a sweeeet main body..
My advice is to start small with small budget and ramp up.. its not uncommon to spend A LOT(200+) on some of the top sabers.. really, start with pvc bodies and hasbro 2010 econo main boards.. then move on up(its much cheaper to screw up and replace the hasbro boards they are on sale $16) some cf or other boards are not just impossible to find.. but the cost wont fit into your "skill building" budget
Well, cc, it appears that you were correct on your assessment, that he's been working on a saber already.
I stand corrected.

Welcome to the forums Kel. ....its about time you joined lol
Kel is a RL friend of mine, and ive been helping him with his saber.
@dgdve. nah hes getting a great blue. he's not using the discs from the shop but a lee filter from my swatch book.
heres a pic.
and hes using a 2010 hasbro vader. all the internal stuff, aside from the crystal chamber, which he will be doing a simple one, is complete. only thing left for him to do is make his shroud. all in all, its turning out to be a great first saber ^_^
