Just to help be clear for others... you would not need "optics" (as in a reflector or collimator lens).

If perhaps that Elb31211 is saying he/she would like the FIBER OPTIC CABLE as part of the package... that's certainly a good request.

But no, folks--special optics won't be needed in order to make the / a saber function as a whip. As seen in the video...

That is correct Nova, all one needs is the adaptor, Fiber ( I like 10') and the connecter. Pop 1" blade out of lightsaber hilt put whip/adaptor in.
