Key words I used on ebay: quartz lot arkansas brazil point
key words for Exclude: beads watches

different combination of the above gives different results.

Here is an example result from ebay.

Not to toot my own horn...
I'm testing the market to see if saber builders want these.

I've talked to Tim about this too. I can get basic quartz crystals but it would up the price...

    Advice?

The problem as I see it is... were builders. I know how simple that is so I went ahead and did it myself.

No offense, you'll probably get a few sales from a narrow audience, but not the saber building group as a whole. I loved the idea though as I've already gone ahead and made mine.[]

I had a bunch of really nice crystals that were perfectly clear like the one Lord Maul found on ebay
but I found perfectly clear ones did not look that good in my lightsaber design.
It specially did not work when shining a light into it as the light passes right through.

I found that crystals with imperfections like bits of rock or cracks gave more raw, unmanufactured, and pulled from a cave look.
I even intentionally crackled some of the clear crystals I had so the light would bounce around inside (apply heat and cool rapidly in water).

Look for places that sell crystals in lots, bags and pounds. $18 for one crystal is kind of pricey.
How about $5 for a one pound bag of crystals?

Not to worry - I was hoping to inspire the builders here, AND sell to the newbies. I've sold 4 or 5 so far (can't remember).
Give and take right - I can't count how many good ideas I use that started right here.

    Cheers!

Even the crystals apparently need a "diffuser". Be careful with that heat & cool thing, you can split the crystal in half.
