Thread: Jtsteph white LED

  1. #1

    Default Jtsteph white LED

I hope this thread answers some questions you might have about my white blades.
    *I use a HP 5.1 MP R707 camera.
*My vader runs on 4AAA batteries with a 2.2ohm 5w resistor. White Led Lux 3w. No fancy driver board or sound. While Ani runs on 3AAA, 2.2ohm 5w resistor and the same White Led Lux 3w.
    *Standard MR Blades
This is the color film I use. I think it cost under $3.00.

Cut the white paper off and unfold it. Then tuck it in the blade like so.

Here are the optics I used on my Ani and Vader sabers.

    A look inside the Vader.

Blue Vader? (in normal room light)

    Thanks,

That is ingenius! Is that a hole you actually cut in the tabs? I have a bunch of those just sitting around at home...

This seems to give great results.

Yeah, the hole allows more light in the blade.

Hmm... that's odd I believe it was tetmatek that said any sized hole on the discs here cause the white to just overwhelm the color. I wonder why this is different.[?]

Dang I use those for my flashlights too. Now I'm even more stoked about getting my led kit.

Where do you get those optics?

    Less talk, more action........

those are the best looking colored whited LED blades i've seen yet. i had abandoned the idea until now.

jtsteph - What are you using for your optics? From the picture it looks more like a parabolic reflector than a lens.
