Default New guy here needs some help

I just bought a Obi wan kenobi clone wars light saber, how do i wire it up? I have a 4xAA battery pack with a P4 Green 5 watt led, and a 2.2 ohm resistor.
Do i hook the board up straight to the batteries and then the board to the switch, with a resistor bewteen the switch and led?

if it is the new 2010 hasbro with dvd you will find everything you need to know how to wire it up here

also a p4 takes this resistor

you also need a tip42 transistor to hook it up

I though P4 Cree was a 3W LED? Do you know the correct voltage and current for the 5W?

Im not 100% sure. Your probably right. I got it out of the kit from CSS. It was supposed to be here today so i could wire it up, but its not. I have a freind thats better with electronics than i and he just wanted to make sure he wasnt gonna blow up my investment.

another note - you're running a 4x AA battery pack? with regular batteries i assume? that would be 6V and the board isn't happy with anything over 5v. i ramped one of mine up to 5.5V on a DC power supply and the speaker started buzzing at me and the LEDs built into it got super bright and desoldered one of the connections for me. just be sure you have one of those 5V regulators for safety reasons is all i'm saying.
