I agree that it would have been better with electronics... but then, all sabers are better with electronics.
I forgot to mention in my first post that the emitters/blade holders are a modified version of the ones on Qui-Gon's saber. I've always liked the way Qui-Gon's hilt looked and so I decided to go with a similar emitter type for this saber/s.
