Default Sound issue with Anakin soundboard

    Hi there.

I have a problem with my MR Anakin soundboard:
Everything seems to work correctly except that when the clash sensor is triggered, I've got an ignition sound and the led goes off then on again.
A little help would be really appreciated. Any idea, someone?

Right now it runs on 4 X 1.2V NiMH 2700 mAh that I have charged yesterday.
Do you think that's the reason?

not if you charged em yesterday... mind uploading a pic of your wiring diagram?

Sounds like a short in the wiring. Possibly on the switch or from the recharge port to the board. Can you post a pic of your wiring?

There is a simple math formula for Saber names.-----------------------To check out the sound fonts I've made:

the symptom described is a reboot of the board.

If the clash sensor stays "closed" longer than it should, it shorts the LED to the clash circuit, dropping voltage and rebooting the board.

This shoudn't happen with a normal working board and clash sensor.

If there is an additional auxillary clash switch wired in parallel with the clash sensor, then pressing the clash switch can cause this behavior. It won't do it everytime, but it will do it.

My Wormwood saber has such a switch, and exhibits the same reboot symptom. Jay-Gonn also referenced this issue in his last brass saber build log and decided to not use the aux clash switch on the MR boards.

The 2010 economy boards do not have this reboot problem with aux clash switches wired in, as they do not use the LED+ as part of the clash circuitry.

Nothing fancy , just the regular wiring.

Shouldn't the "+" for your LED be attached to the VDD next to the clash sensor and LED-, NOT the VDD near the switch wires?

There are two different VDD and they are NOT the same.

yup your led + should come off the vdd that your clash is hooked up to

At first that's what I thought too, but it seems that both Vdd are connected by a "copper track" on the board so I assume they are the same.
I also tried to remove completely the LED and I had the same result on clash.

Could it be because of the clash sensor directly soldered on the board?
