Well done on your first! QD's are okay if you have the space. Just make sure to plan the wiring out first and you can easily minimize if you need to.

Hey man, looks great for a first saber! Not sure if you know, but if you take out the "?action=view¤t=" part of your IMG thumb, you will link directly to the image, and not the Photobucket preview screen
The emitter plug is the scroll wheel from an old mouse that I took apart. It fit perfectly snug in the emitter. I put a collet on it so I can grip it and pull it out.
