Frikkin' awesome. Great idea for a saber.

From Wikipedia: "Internet Explorer slows down GIFs if the framerate is 20 frames per second or higher and Microsoft reports that Google Chrome and Safari also slow down some GIF animations."

Brilliant. I have a few pieces set aside to do a saber with a wide lip and a knuckle bow, but I hadn't thought to be so literal about the rapier aesthetic. I dig it, man.

    How heavy is all that?
It's less than a pound, and the two-finger balance test puts the center of gravity right in the open face of the emitter.

    BTW, here's the WIP pics:

The only thing I have to add other than it being unique and good work

is... you should go with a 3/4 blade.

the more diminutive a hilt needs a thinner blade to look more ... scale? for lack of a better word...
that and its a rapier crossover.. so thinner would work well

Great mind think alike, my good chap! I had indeed intended on a 3/4" blade originally, but opted for the 1" for brightness. The 3/4" still looks good, and in a sense, is more appropriate...

But this is wicked bright! I'mo scur me some trick'a-treaters! Ha-ha!

If you decide later to go 3/4", maybe Tim will start to stock 3/4" bullet tips like LDM.

My name is diego skywalker, you killed my father (from a certain point of view), prepare to die.

    Ha ha ha

I loved that film when I was a kid.

    Cool Saber
Obi-Wan: "If you spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you did your wit, you'd rival Master Yoda as a swordsman"

    Anakin: " I thought I already did"

Obi-Wan: "Only in your mind, my very young apprentice"
