I would take a 3/4" piece of PVC and mount the motor with hot glue inside of the section.

Then you can thread the pvc and mount it to the hilt, so as to maximize vibration...
Got a Question? There's a thread for that...

I don't know what you mean by threading the pvc.
Where would the pvc thread into.

Sorry for not being more clear...

You would drill a hole into the PVC, thread it, and screw it to your main hilt.

here is a really bad pic...

Hey Novastar. Excellent idea also. So with this setup I need to use small screws so it wont hit the motor on the inside.

here is a motor with a similar housing to what nova refers to

You've probably already moved on with this but I would use a couple of plastic washers that fit the inside diameter of the hilt like a glove. You'd be making a chamber but it doesn't have to be taller than a half inch. Drill holes through the washers so that you can push the body of the motor through. Setting it tight like this and having the washers seated snug against the inside of the saber will help transfer the vibration better to the hilt.

I just have a quick uestion. If I buy a bigger motor or a motor that takes a higher voltage with greater amps: Do you get more "vibrating power"? Im not sure because all I have are the ones from Radio Shack. Also on the Internet I havent seen anything to state how powerful the shake is of the motor.

i know that the old motor that i took out of a PS2 controller has a lot more kick than my cell phone, and my cell phone can shake itself across a table fairly easily. the size difference is also quite a bit. not that i've ever wired up a trick box for that sort of thing... >_>
