Thread: what board is this?

    Default what board is this?

    I bought this board and the guy didn't know which one it was. I need help so I wire it correctly.

    I believe that's the Luke ROTJ EL board.

    In otherwords, if it is what I fear, (The EL board) you can't drive an LED with it.

    Are there any labels/typing on the board?

    Yep, that is a EL board alright. You can use it for the sound and use a seperate driver for the LED. The EL uses AC current which is why you have to use an inverter for it. The LEDs we use are DC and will not work with with the EL inverter so you will have to use a seperate driver for the LED. I have one of those boards at home but haven't really looked at it that close. I was saving it for an emergency, but since the new 2010 Economy Hasbro boards sound pretty decent there is no need for me to use it.

    Getting decent volume out of that card is nigh on impossible, in my experience. I never want to see another one again.
