A new saber that was built for a Freshmen BBQ as a door prize. Each professor needed to bring a door prize that was unique to only us for the new freshmen to guess in a drawing. The first slip drawn with the correct professor attributed to the door prize won that prize.
I built Impatience in 16 days (about 25 hours total, hence the name) using a 1 1/2" sink tube, faucet handle, sheet aluminum, galvanized roof flashing, nylon bushings, a hasbro 2010 vader soundboard, and from TCSS: a green P4, heatsink, BuckPuck, double wrapped thick wall 1" blade, round tip, and grips. It runs on 4 AAA batteries and incorporates the bulb clamp as part of the blade retention system.
I modified the Reflex templates for the Graflex clamp (.032" sheet aluminum) and bulb clamp (galvanized roof flashing) to get the right sizes for my tubes.
Here's the hilt
