    Default Maul's Personal DL-44

This is the second DL-44 that I've built so far. For this one I decided to go all out and use the Plecter Labs Blaster Core board. It features a hidden charge port, a rumble motor, and a large resonance chamber (this baby is LOUD). I opted not to go for a bargraph as I feel that it doesn't fit the spirit of a DL-44 as well. I think of it like the revolver of the SW universe. No frills, just a solid gun.

    Specs:
    Blastercore 2.0
    2.1mm charge port in grip
5mm red and blue LEDs (main flash and stun)
    Rumble motor
    2x 16430 Li Ion battery pack (880mAh)
    Aux button under clip eject
    Blast Tech conversion kit

It looks great in the holster that J-Lo made for me, and with the Yoda Graflex :017:

    Very nice.
I can't boast to be any kind of blaster affectionado, but it definitely has class.

Very nice, LM. I like it a lot.

And I'm jealous, mine just lights up.

Yours looks different inside than mine does. And a lot easier to set up a trigger activated switch.

Say, that's a nice holster you've got there!

Very cool. Nice to see something a little different here. I think this is the first time I've got to see inside one. I would go for light weathering all over myself..

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is wondering....What type of gun is it? Is it made like the original prop was or a finished replica?

The Movie props were made from real "Broom handle" Mausers 9mm pistols.

"The Mauser C96 (Construktion 96) is a semi-automatic pistol that was originally produced by German arms manufacturer Mauser from 1896 to 1937 Unlicensed copies of the gun were also manufactured in Spain and China in the first half of the 20th century."

Maul's base gun it an airsoft replica that originally fired plastic BBs.

The real ones came with an attachable shoulder stock that also doubled as a holster.

These also didn't have a removable magazine for the ammunition, they had a box magazine that loaded from the top using a stripper clip.

The originals were also capable of full-auto fire.

AK-47s and Lightsabers, both so fun to build

Yes. That's why you see the fake selector switch on the airsoft version. It was for selecting between auto-fire and semi-auto.
