Thread: First PVC Saber Build

    Default First PVC Saber Build

With all the great looking PVC Sabers out there, I thought I would try my hand at it. I'm not blessed with nice things like drill-presses, miter saws, or any sort of clamps/vices. All my work will be done by hand with either a rotary tool (in my case, a Black and Decker RTX) or a drill (Black and Decker 14.4V Cordless Drill).

Here is what I started with. I cut a 12" section of PVC 1" tubing from a longer section.

I made a 45-degree cut at the emitter-end and began work on the first part of the shroud. I play World of Warcraft, so my inspiration in this case is the helmet of the Lich King. This was done entirely with my rotary tool.

This is as far as I am right now. I will continue this thread as I complete more work on it.

    That's gonna look cool!

I did something similar awhile back:

Man, that's some skillage right there! I can totally see that with some enamel paint, to make it look metallic.

    Keep it coming!
