    Question Textured Tape Question

Well, for my first saber (sinktube) for the grips I'd like something like a Mylar Textured Tape Strip, but I need to know: How thick is it? And can it be painted? The reason I need to know how thick it is, is I want to put it on a 1" PVC pipe (my saber's 1-1/4"). Thanks, guys.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone use that for grips before.

Do you know what it's actually for? It goes on the Graflex clamp of the Luke ESB version saber to cover up the name "Graflex" stamped into the clamp.

Not so say that you couldn't use it for another purpose.

I don't know how well it would take paint, though.

Hmm... well it might work. Just Gorilla Glue it on and screw in the PVC...And plus the tape must have used for something before Luke's Saber, too. And if it doesn't work the tape's only $2.00 and the PVC about $0.50. (I guess...?)

Oh...and silver grips would look good too.

the tape is shiny and sleek. the texture doesn't provide much grip, just makes bounce off of it in cool directions. I would not use it as grips, it will be very slippery if your hand is the least bit sweaty.

Is that what you meant, with the word added?
