nice! I am building this exact model from TBYB, and I'm trying to figure out what the best way to attach one of the custom saber shop's corbin blades to this hilt. any suggestions? I;ve been reading around the site and can't quite figure out how I attach a blade to these. Do i need to buy a blade hodler from TCSS or is there another method?

    thanks!

(ps, I am also building model 4 : http://bigyellowbox.tripod.com/plans04/style4main.htm) any suggestions for attaching a blade to that would be appreciated too !)

that saber looks fantastic! great work. you got those holes lined up very evenly two for the emmiter. yup i know the footmans loops. lol. the only thing i would suggest is grind down the blade thumb screw or get a shorter one. other than that it looks fantastic!

Ah good ol' BYB saber, nice first saber. I look forward to seeing your future sabers.

    Good job.

Since you asked, here's my bit of advice:

I couldn't tell if you had a belt clip, but if not that would be a good thing to add.

I had the same problem with plasti-dip. Nice idea with the acetone! I solved the same problem in a different way by using truck bed liner instead of plasti-dip, on the advise of a more experienced sabersmith.

Very good job on the first saber! Certainly much better than my first, which I am grateful that I have never posted..... (partially because it still isn't finished, but that's another story)

rrosadob - you need a blade holder. The standard MHS blade holder style 1 with a sink tube to MHS adapter will fit nicely into a 1.5" sinktube.

Thanks SkyMarcher! that's what I had figured, but i wanted to double check before I spent loot on the parts:
So... : http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/12...der--P269.aspx did you mean this one with the heat sink included?

or this one that is labeled as holder style 1 http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Sc...e-1--P183.aspx and then i'd need to also get this : http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MH...ter--P162.aspx

    thanks!

ok you will need one of these

and any blade holder that you really want depends on your style
i myself would use this one and make the shroud a little longer to hide the blade holder
