What do you do with your blade at cons when you are not using it?

The title doesnt really convey what I was trying to ask and i didnt want to the title to be longer than my post. LOL What I was getting at was this. Lets say you are walking around a con in costume (assuming you do that.) and you just want to walk around with the hilt attached to your belt so you dont have to worry about carrying it. BUT you also want to have the blade available incase you get asked for a photo. How would you carry the blade around?

This is an idea I came up with.(please mind the really bad MS paint work LOL) I have not built it yet. I am just waiting to get paid so I can get the materials and for my new blade to arrive so I can measure. This would be perfect for somebody who wears a cloak with their costume because it can be hidden by the cloak.

Some wear similar straps and some sew them into their robes.

wow you were not kidding it was just like that. Well great minds think alike I guess. and there were some good ideas I may have to try out.
