    just to get it out of the way, have you tried fresh batteries?

    yep, fresh batteries, when i take the pololu out of the circut its as bright as ever,

    One random thought....

    You have the resistor between the pololu and the LED, not the battery and the pololu board, correct?

    i had the resistor between the led neg and the battery.

    Maybe you should post a pic of how it is wired.

    I havent tried the board with a straight hookup (just with a puck) so I cant help you. I will check the specs again later on and see if there is a current limitation. It should just latch the voltage so it seems strange. If you can show a pic of how its hooked up it would help.
