Thread: My Graflex ANH 85% Complete.

Default My Graflex ANH 85% Complete.

    Hello folks.

Here's my Graflex ANH saber. It's the first saber I've wired sound into (I've put MR guts in a different hilt, other than that just stunt sabers).

It has a 2010 Hasbro Obi soundboard. Wired with much thanks to Cardcollector and Jagahati's wiring tutorial!!

It's about 85% complete, meaning that I need to get a clamp for it, and eventually I want to make a decent chassis and crystal chamber for it. If anyone could point me in the right direction for that I would greatly appreciate it! Oh and I somehow messed up the clash sensor while disassembling the Obi saber.

I actually really like the new hasbro sound and the light effects.

    Ok, here's the specs:

Replica Graflex that used to be a Parks saber
Tim's new Graflex LED blade adaptor (Thanks Tim for finding the mounting screw for me!)
2010 Obi soundboard with the 5v. regulator and PNP transistor setup ala Jagahati's wiring diagram
    2x 14500 Trustfires
    TCSS speaker
    Luxeon Rebel royal blue
    700mA buckpuck
    Replica Glass Eye thumbscrew
    TCSS show blade
Tactile mom. switch under the replica red button

    Pics:

    Big overhead light on.

    Favorite Pic.

    Lights out.

Bad pic, but conveys the brightness.

...And yes, that's a zip tie holding my broken clamp on.

Did you just look at the pictures and not read what he wrote?

Looks good. You could probably replace the damaged clash sensor with the one from the Store.

Nicely done! Find yourself a clamp, and that will be a very nice show piece.

    Thanks everyone!

@J-Lo; Yeah I plan on adding a few clash and swing sensors to my next order.

@Shadar; I'll see what I can do. I don't have a video camera but I think my camera can take short vids.

    @Obi-Dar; Just ordered a couple.

Does anyone have recommendations on making a chassis? What materials to use? I don't want to use metal washers. I was thinking of a clear blue plastic similar to what I've seen over at the FX forums. I have no idea what they are using.
