Default Flush Mounting a recharge port

I have been searching the forums for a couple days now but i cannot find an answer i am looking for.

is there anyway to flush mount a recharge port in MHS parts that does not require me to actually thread it into the side of the hilt?

I know i have seen something like this in the past but for the life of me i cannot find it.

    thank you

I believe what you are asking about was putting the screw on the inside of the hilt and using a cut piece of pvc to spring-set it inside the hilt, gluing the port into the pvc...

Yuppers! Shown in this topic, I believe:

This is by no means the only or best way to do it, it's just how "I" do it.

A note about that saber....I have recently modified it to use an illuminated AV switch. I'll post an update with pictures in that topic when I have it all completed.

You're welcome! The best way to make it are to drill the hole ( 5/16-32 tap, 9/32" drill...you can get away easily with just drilling the hole....the recharge port will self tap the hole) in it before you cut it for the C-clip function. Then cut it directly opposite the recharge port hole. Next, screw the recharge port into the clip, and then wire it up. Make sure you install it in the saber in the proper assembly order, since it can be a pain in the butt to remove once it's installed.
