Make sure to use a high quality dust mask if you're sanding blades. Polycarbonate is inert, and completely safe, in its solid form, but if you grind, sand, or burn it, you can ingest Bisphenol-a.

Bisphenol A has a health rating of "3" from HMIS, which means "Major injury likely unless prompt action is taken and medical treatment is given."

Bisphenol A targets the liver, reproductive system, bone marrow and eyes.

Yikes, well, wish I had known that before I sat at my kitchen table the other day sanding my blade, while my 3 year old nephew was running around. I hope our eyes or testicles dont fall off.

Bisphenol-a is like exposure to a lot of other chemicals and compounds...it takes large doses over long periods of time to get effects. Still, taking precautions is never a bad idea.
